Who We Are
We are passionate, trained advocates and volunteers providing services to survivors of violent crimes, their families, and the communities in which we live. All of our services are available at no cost to survivors, their significant others, and family members.
We are a diverse group of over 200 residents and community members of the Inland Empire region of Southern California. We believe violence is preventable, and we lead by advocating for policy that seeks to promote dignity, respect, and the prevention of violence in our community.
We are always here to listen, believe, and support.
San Bernardino Sexual Assault Services works to promote healing and support to survivors of violent crimes through individual services and promoting culture change in our community.
At San Bernardino Sexual Assault Services, we envision a world without violence and we believe prevention is possible.
Established in 1973 as one of the earliest grass roots rape crisis centers in California, we have been providing crisis support and advocacy to survivors of sexual trauma and their families for nearly 50 years.
In 1980, San Bernardino Sexual Assault Services was incorporated and recognized as an independent non-profit and a member of the California Coalition Against Sexual Assault.
In 2018, we expanded our mission to include supporting victims of all violent crimes with the addition of our Crime Survivor Services Program in San Bernardino County.
Today, we continue our work in the communities of San Bernardino and East Riverside County, serving the largest geographic area of any rape crisis center in the State of California.
Our resources now include 3 full-service Rape Crisis Centers, the Crime Survivors Services Center, and 3 satellite offices for survivors to access services and support. Our team includes nearly 200 qualified and trained crisis response advocates and community volunteers providing support 24/7 in our community.
